The sound is very smooth and detailed with a black background and wide soundstage. My favorite component is the Music Hall cdp. It still has its stock pc. The Synergistic ic has made a huge difference. All of those adjectives above were brought out by the SR ic and the VH audio pc. The VH audio pc made a big difference in the noise floor and bass. The SR ic brought out the details without being harsh. My only complaint is with the speakers which can still be harsh with highs or poorly recorded music. The rest of the frequency range is great. The accessories have helped tremendously in getting the best sound out of this system. Im going to pick up a budget SACD player and a turntable. Any comments?
10-11-04: Bundee1 UPDATE: Switched from Arcam A65 to Jolida 1501 to Monarchy Audio SM70Pro w/Luminous Audio Axiom Pre. The sound is now the smoothest, warmest, most detailed Ive ever had. The Chris VenHaus Pulsars made a big difference as well. They helped greatly with the instrument seperation and details.
